I applied the patch to the debian source, which went without trouble,
but I can't compile the package:
sudo dpkg-buildpackage
leads to the attached error message.
I noticed that the installed deb is also missing those utilities; thing
like "runzeo" should land in /usr/bin/ but they don't... the

My Evolution in Gutsy was working fine, but suddenly takes a lot to send
emails, if tey got send, other wise it reports time out time.
I have enabled logging.

I get a similar bug. When I try to add a new background, nothing
happens...oddly nothing crashes for me.

I had the same problem with the same keyboard but I thought it was hardware
related. It happens relative rare and I hadn't this since a long time (maybe
because I use a newer vanilla kernel). The easiest work around is to unplug the
USB keyboard and plug it again.
