I can confirm that setting the proxy settings with
gnome-network-preferences works.
There is still the issue with the freeze, though. If rhythmbox cannot
connect to an Internet radio station, it should fail gracefully.
Should I file this as another bug or will you re-open this one?

Similar problem here.
Since Feisty my DVD burning is quite erratic depending on the kernel upgrade.
Now I can not burn DVDs at all. But on previous kernel upgrade I could burn -R
DVDs but not +R.
Also I think there is a lot of funny stuff going on with the way the hard disks

Setting vga=795 unfortunately doesn't help. I also tried some tips in Bug
#32389 - uninstalling usplash and setting vga=normal but nothing helped.

I just figured out a workaround to this, which is to add a new calendar.
For "type", select your exchange account. For "location", select the
shared calendar (which must be in your favorites/subscribed).
Still, calendars without overlapping names just show up automatically.

I think I'm seeing the same thing. When I switch to "Normal Effects" or
"Extra Effects", all windows appear fine, except their missing the
border and frame. They can still be moved around / minimised / closed /
everything else via the Window List applet or the keyboard but no window
border.

Just changing /dev/wacom to /dev/input/wacom on all three instances in
xorg.conf did the trick! If I had ever known my problem was fixable that
easy, I would've filed a bug that Ubuntu should just auto-detect and
auto-enable this stuff. Heck, I'm gonna change this bug to men

This is happening between different versions of ubuntu.
There are bug reports about this for both NVidia and ATI cards. So it's not
specific to a graphics driver.
The only common factor is compiz.
So i've marked all the duplicates and changed the description.

If you're using i810, can you please test if switching to the -intel
driver in Gutsy resolves this particular issue? If so, then the fix for
135141 will fix this bug as well.

The crash will probably be fixed by switching to the -intel driver in
Gutsy (see bug 135141). The Xv issue I suspect may remain though.
