This is the theory which as usual differs from the reality as,
more often than not, there are no .deb packages with the latest
NVIDIA drivers.
BTW, i don't think you would overwrite a configuration file in /etc if it

say that I've tried these options and the performance is the same:
EXA, PageFlip, AGPMode, RenderAccel (which is not supported by my

I will try it, but the file manager doesn't crash, only hangs. But I will see
what I can do. Perhaps it's helpful to have a 10 second video. That could I
post. What do you think a about that suggestion?
I tried gdb, but with out a crash that isn't very useful.

Sorry for the confusion. Crash report are completely swamping us so we
are trying to determine how to handle them;(
If you could install -dbg and send us a crash report it would be useful.
We understand that asking our users to install dbg symbols every time
