When I plug in my digital camera via USB, an alert pops up telling me
that a photo card has been detected, and asking me if I'd like to import
the pictures. However, the icon that appears on the desktop is that of a

After some investigations I found that any program which alters the

Hi, my guess now is that it is because i have a S-ATA hard drive. The
partion manager only shows sda partitions, but the next screen

I have the same problem with a P5GD1 Pro and latest feisty kernel
(2.6.20-5-generic), running the latest beta BIOS from ASUS (1013).
The problem has been persistent in every kernel since i ran Dapper on the
machine.

Correction :
setting up this as knetworkrc makes interface detection work ok:

askAgainPlatform=false
detectedPlatform=ubuntu-7.04
and changing settings does not alter anymore the /etc/network/interfaces file
I am doing some more tests however

Hi,
what exactly does this mean concerning my problem? Unlike i was hoping
the printer doesn't print correctly, yet. It still stops printing after
the first job is completed. I have to disconnect it then reconnect it
and reinstall the driver to make it work.
