Okay, I've found a bug with static IP in Feisty.
During the installation connection failed (it should not work actually,
because no DHCP available). I've changed the values in KDE Control
Center -> Network Manager. Everything worked okay for ~30 seconds, then

Since doing a fresh install of edgy, when there's is any significant
disc writing being done (extracting large archives, high speed download,
etc.), the system becomes totally unresponsive. This did not happen on
dapper at all, ever.
I changed screen saver preference from random screen saver to blank screen, and
for the moment i have no problem.
Maybe is it a problem related to screen-saver ?

Ok, I've just removed gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3 and gstreamer0.10

Well, I did it. I managed to make "eciadsl-start" work the first time, at least
under Kubuntu Edgy AMD64 (but probably it may work on other versions /
platforms).
The trick was to change the following line of the script /usr/bin/eciadsl-start

- what version of Ubuntu do you use
- do you use a webcal or import a localy stored ics file?
- "it cannot get in touch with it on the web", that doesn't look like an
evolution problem if google calendar is offline, what do you mean exactl

Okay, I found out some important things. What I did is to reinstall
dapper, activate all repositories in /etc/apt/sources.list (including
multiverse) and made an update of dapper.
After a reboot I then changed all "dapper" into "edgy" in the
sources.list and updated the whole system once again. Th

I would like to add my complaint about this. Having one control adjust one
volume and the fn keys and built in vol keys another is very confusing as to
why sound is coming out if you have muted or turned it down.

The problem was solved by installing the original Sun Java JRE 1.5

comment on that bug? Could you open a new one? Listing different
problems on the same page like that is confusing and make the job harder
