I can confirm this bug. I've encountered it several times when logging

yeah, this bug occurs with pretty much all compsite managers, i had it
with xcompmgr (breezy), compiz (breezy/dapper), and now beryl (edgy), it
doesn't seem to be a popular bug, for example it hasn't been mentioned
in beryl user forums... but that could be because firefox's autoscroll
isn't enabled
I'm not convinced this is a gxine issue, since the dump points to
oscope_init_plugin () in xine-lib.

are no connected headphones [but controls some other mixer element when
headphones /are/ connected]?

I am seeing the same symptoms, but am not sure this is the same bug. My syslog
shows a problem with reiserfs support in ubiquity and formatting "/" ext3 works
around the problem. I can't find a similar message in MoMaT's syslog though.

libpisock9 has some API changes, which cause multisync to FTBFS. It was
removed from Debian testing a while back because of this, so is probably
not trivial to fix. Not a whole lot we can do about this one, I'm
afraid.

When I boot from the CD and do the installation again it does not create
a /var/log/installer/syslog, there is just a file called version in this
directory. And on the partition I used for the installation there is no
/var/log/installer directory at all.

In edgy, if I run "nautilus-script-manager enable Subversion", it
creates the folders '~'/.gnome2/nautilus-script, and puts the symlink
inside. The problem is that it doesn't expand the ~, it creates a
folder literally named '~' (!)

Maybe grub has a problem with my hd1, my second S-ATA-HDD, where I
installed Edgy on partition /dev/sdb4. When I do > find /var/log/syslog
in the grub command line of the old grub installation, it just finds
this file on various partitions on hd0, none on hd1. I can just change >
root (hd1, 0) all
As the reporter of the duplicate said, removing the line "set -e" at the
beginning of the file fixes the bug and doesn't seem to break anything.
To be sure I downloaded the last upstream release and made a diff, result :

/usr/share/applications/gimp-2.2.desktop file has no value. Its value
should be "gimp20"
Due to this missing value, the GIMP menu entry in Applications->Graphics

The Ubuntu LegacyHuman controls are visually broken since I upgraded to
6.10. Is appears that someone has been changing them around, even though
they are part of a theme that claims to be "exactly as the default theme
was back in 5.10". The
(By the way, it should be noted that the window border isn't part of
these changes. It's a different one which I'm using along with the
LegacyHuman controls. You can ignore it.)
