Additionally, if I select the Inbox folder in my IMAP account, then select the
spam folder in that same account, and the go back to the Inbox folder, the
following happens:

I just noticed bug #62192. Maybe it is unrelated, but I'm also observing
the bogofilter and spamassassin error messages when starting Evolution.
Both packages are installed in my machine. The error messages seem to
appear irregardless of whether I enable or disable the plugins in
Evolution's plugin
I can confirm this issue. But if I hit the "Page next" key for example,
everything goes back to normal.
And also, installing 'vim' fixed the problem.

I can confirm this bug. I had to disable the spamassassin plugin and
install bogofilter to make the junk filtering functionnal.
These actions are not logical for a new user and no message tell him an
error occured!

i was wondering why wolf et runs smoothly, but constantly after about 5-8 secs
DPS drops from 90 to under 5 for short period of time. then i managed, with
help of top, to find that problem is apt-index-watcher.
so only solution for smooth gameplay is manually killing watcher by
ps -A | grep ap
I have similar problem on the 2.04~rc3 version of the amd64 edgy machine
with different error message when I install the openoffice.org-gtk
package.
When I tried to run open office application, I got the following error

display rendering to be a mess after resume. I have had to comment out vbetool
from the suspend.d ACPI scripts.

Oh! I see. I consider it a bug in your Openoffice.org packages to have
options available in the program that result in broken (text-only) toolbars! I
am installing openoffice.org-style*
and expect that'll work, but if you are going to make those packages optional,
there needs to be logic in
I can confirm that installing the icons worked, but that doesn't fix the
underlying usability issue.

Forgot to mention earlier on that this was on the i386 kernel.
I've reinstalled and I'm now running the amd64 kernel (with restricted
modules) and it still doesn't work.
I've checked on HP's website and this is the latest BIOS revision for
this laptop.
