This is going to be a big problem in edgy because the Composite
extension seems to be enabled by default.
Adding "export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1" to /etc/firefox/firefoxrc
should workaround the problem for now.

driver, and XGL+Compiz.
gnome-power-manager will randomly crash while running under this

something "special" to do with the debian keyring being signed by the

This is intentional. Debian Sid does not provide xlibmesa-glu-dev
either, and we realigned (mostly) with Debian Sid's packaging at the

currently disable the acpi module at each boot (I did not took the time to
automatise it), and wrote a little script that enables the module, outputs the
battery status, and disables the module.

Hey, I just spend a long time debugging this. And suddenly it hit me.
In dapper I was using fglrx, in the upgrade to edgy this was removed.
Now that I reinstalled fglrx in edgy, the problem is solved...
I guess you can close this one up, sinse it's a freak problem unlikely
to occur for others. Th
This seems to be a bug in the rt2570 module. Since you can also use
ndiswrapper to drive these cards (at least those of us on intel boxes),
there is a simple workaround: disable the rt2570 module. You can compile
it out, or just add these two lines to your /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist:

I have a terratec cinergy t2 device, which used to work in dapper. In edgy I
can't hear audio. I don't know if this bug is a linux-source or a xine-lib bug.
I tried to use either kaffeine and xine, but in both the audio is off.
