I can confirm this. OOo edgy 2.0.3-4ubuntu2 writer crashes when I click
"Insert -> Picture -> from file ..." or "Insert -> Insert File". The
main writer window disapears. The "Insert Picture" file browser window
and an "OpenOffice.org Document Recovery" window apear. I do not get any
error message

Edgy Knot3 : same probleme
... and the computer boots with these options :
acpi=off
irqpoll
xforcevesa
... but it seems xforcevesa does not "work" ...
with a dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg, choosing vesa graphic driver, it works...

yes, i've done it, but it didn't worked the same..
to make edgy running i had to edit sources.list manually and do 3 apt-get -f
install because of some errors..

I have a 1400x1050 that doesn't work out of the box. I filed Bug #6271
about it and that was moved to 915resolution. 915resolution fixes it (it
was updated - Bug #54188) but it still doesn't work out of the box.
The comments in those bugs clearly suggest that people think the
"modesetting branch"

i've checked with aMSN - the sape problem. it seem to me that this is not a
tkabber, but a tcl/tk problem in general...

According to Oscar RT61 still don't work untill you go and compile the
drivers from ralink site.
I didn't try dapper in "Live cd mode" but i just try edgy Knot3 and this time
it get worse my RT61 wifi card isn't recognized properly.
I get an wlan0 & wlanmaster interface and nothing comes out when
