I'm used to use a Debian print server with cupsys 1.1.23-12 and a HP 4+.
Printing from a Ubuntu box with cupsys 1.2.1 worked perfektly. Since
I've been using cupsys 1.2.2 I get the folewing printing result:

That makes a lot of sense. I too hate nag screens and people are
expecting to answer questions in an installer (and may have a more
experienced user with them). It also has a big advantage because it
would be asked regardless of which package manager Ubuntu settles on.

I have an HP Laserjet 1300 attached via the parallel port.
When I try to print from it, it goes into a loop of "check device; will retry

I've heard a problem with xfs and grub, not with yaboot, is this the
same?.
I'll reinstall with root partition in ext3 (home, usr and other can be
xfs, can't them?).
Anyway, yaboot is trying to load from /dev/hda1 and it isn't in
yaboot.conf, I dont know if it's the same bug.

Every once in a while I download a rar file which can't be extracted. I
am attaching two sample files which can't be extracted.
The bug might be in rar, not in file-roller, since I have been able to
extract them with rar 3.6 beta 6 for linux.

If you try to extract this with right-click " ->extract" in natilus, a
folder is created with a truncated name, and the contained file is lost.
