First, I was installing in a ReiserFS partition that existed previously and was
formatted during the installation. Maybe that is a problem because I tried to
format the partition as ReiserFS and it was not an option during the

The current version in edgy fully supports the architecture field. I
upaded the desktop files to have a architecture field where appropriate
(where a package is not available on all architectures).

The new UUID stuff doesn't seem to work with LVM volumes.

I beleive this is planned but not yet done, i knwo the kubuntu guys are
working on it, not sure if anyoen else is doign it in gnome but I would
certainly be interested in looking at it.
That said I really don't like the whole /etc/default thing as it stops
you from even one-time starting avahi

Upgraded to latest kdelibs today. Now it sends me back to the login screen. WTF?
THAT response got me thinkingcookies. Checked, and I had launchpad
set to reject all cookies. Switched to accept, and now it works just
fine.

konqueror won't login to some we
I have also experienced same problem in breezy every thing was alright
about unicode urdu ( in firefox) but in DD it is very bad. Firefox is
displaying urdu in a very bad manner but konqourer is alright about
urdu. So the problem is in firefox not in the system. Could develpors

Ok. After deleting anything with the word "flash" in its name in
/usr/lib/firefox/plugins, and uninstalling sun5-*, I can confirm that the
bug is GONE. But I don't know which one causes the bug.

all programs that use Gecko rendering engine like firefox, epiphany,
thunderbird,etc. Same urdu pages when viewed with Konqueror rendered

I have tried several combinations of settings with DigiKam and it will
not print photos in the correct orientation without a margin. gnome-
