I did not say that I was not dealing with people with a mac. I meant
the Ubuntu was not doing updates for those that have a Mac so I have no
way to test any updates since all the updates that Ubuntu is releasing
are for Windows machines only.

I have not tried since then as all the updates have been for a Windows
system and not the Mac any more so I gave up trying. It is probably
fixed though but since they gave up on the Mac I gave up on them.

After running sudo apt-get dist-upgrade I got the below error. It did
every thing that it was supposed to do though.

This may be normal but I got this error after doing the sudo dpkg
--configure -a. Every thing ran just fine but I got this error at the
very end.

I had shutdown after it failed the first time. It allowed me to hit ok
and it closed the application earlier. About 6 hours later I turned the
machine on and it showed me that I have 48 updates but unable to do any
thing about them.
