Well I have updated to version 12.10 and now I do not have any problem to
suspend when I close the lid.

FYI
I have reinstalled to Ubuntu 9.10 and I have no problem with suspend.
Before i restored I also tried to run from a Live CD Ubuntu version 10.04
LST and I had the same problem as I had with the 10.04 installation...
