isn't so much the same thing as Microsoft's monopoly (bug 1), but a direct
result of it. Marking bug 1 as a dependency

It's really part of "Bug # 1"proprietary software, perpetuated by
Microsoft, Apple, and many other companies is there for those groups to hold
a market niche, or worse a major grab! FOSS, free open source software
