I ran the two commands listed below... at the end of the second command I received the exact same error message as when I try to do the version update to wit:
W:Failed to fetch http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/intrepid-security/Release Unable to find expected entry multiversedeb/source/Sources in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?) , E:Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead. Is that what you meant by providing the output? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jean-Baptiste Lallement Sent: Tuesday, November 25, 2008 5:57 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Bug 301318] Re: intrepid upgrade 8.04 to 8.10 on KDE fails withfollowing error Sorry for my late reply. With the corrected sources.list could you please run the following commands: sudo apt-get clean sudo apt-get update and provide the output if it fails.
