I ran the two commands listed below...

at the end of the second command I received the exact same error message as
when I try to do the version update to wit:
W:Failed to fetch
http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/intrepid-security/Release  Unable to
find expected entry  multiversedeb/source/Sources in Meta-index file
(malformed Release file?) , E:Some index files failed to download, they have
been ignored, or old ones used instead.


Is that what you meant by providing the output?
