cat /proc/asound/version --- gives - Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver
Version 1.0.24.
It was only a few days ago, I install via the alsa-hda-dkms which now
sits at the USC as per:- alsa-hda-dkms 0.201206201920~oneiric1. What
should i do next? Thanks in anticipation.

Dear Dave, [how i wish i could sound like HAL, :)]
I believe i have the upstream version of ALSA as per installations instructions
- Ver 1.0.24.2 but to no avail. Just curious, though; this bug 997674 pertains
to 12.04 whilst mine is 11.10, is it actually similar at all? Thanks a lot.
