I can reproduce the problem (r-m still tells me that my hardware doesn't
need any driver) on my old installation. But I think it's a problem
caused through beta testing feisty fawn and it's not as important to
waste much more time, when the final version hasn't this problem.

Hi,
an update last week broke my beryl/compiz and I think it was a problem
concerning the nvidia driver. I wasn't able to fix it so I installed a new
Feisty System on my second hard disk. There wasn't any problem with r-m and my
graphic card.

The problem with this bug is that the PCI ID is _already_ in
/usr/share/linux-restricted-modules/2.6.20-16-generic/modules.alias.override/nvidia
. I can't imagine why restricted manager wouldn't be picking up on this...
