Alexandros K, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/cur
I also have the same issue on an HP EliteBook 8540p ... it has a
discrete NVIDIA video card.
I cannot use the mouse pad or a plugged in mouse; however, the mouse
clicks click the right side of the window while being stuck on the left
side, the second monitor is configured to sit left of the main.
I have also this problem on my Acer Aspire 5745G
After the second monitor is disconnected and I reboot my laptop I cannot
use my mousepad. Mouse is stuck on the left side of the screen.

Its not the sticky edges it's the disconnected monitor, the mouse is
stuck in the disconnected monitor. It's possible to change the nvidia
configuration to not do this but i have no idea how. I think the nvidia
x server interface is just dreadful.

I still have sticky edges even after turning it off from settings on my MacBook
Pro 5.5
Tried it on/off multiple times with absolutely no difference.
I just had a clean 12.04 install with no speacial tweaking, just default
nvidia drivers.

Go to System Settings -> Displays -> Sticky edges
Here I saw that sticky edges was turned "On". Once I turned it "Off" and
clicked "Apply", the issue disappeared. Again, this is not an Nvidia
issue, as I have the issue with no discrete graphics card at all.

I have a Toshiba A215 with Nvidia. On upgrading, the display appeared
normal until I connected an external monitor to the VGA port. The
panel showing my Thunderbird, Firefox etc disappeared.
So much of the functionality of Hardy Heron has been lost with the new
interface. If the rot continues
I have this issue, and I do not have an Nvidia card installed
