for the folder view switching. There is an extension available that
provides it now. It's called "Folder Pane View Switcher" and it works

extensions got upgraded automatically yesterday or today. It's working
fine now. I removed the Blinking Alert extension because this version of
thunderbird provides a good alert feature. I still miss having the
clickable arrows
