If it affects Banshee, Rhythmbox and Clementine, it's probably a
gstreamer issue, and you're likely to see this in other applications
using gstreamer -- Totem, for example.

When the flac stop, drag the slider in Rhythmbox could make it working

I'm also seeing FLAC playback completely broken in at least 3 media
players (Rhytmbox, Banshee, Clementine) in 12.04. All of them seem to be
stuck in a 'playing' state but locked at the 0m0s position (x86 version,
not amd64). Tried multiple files with different parameters (16-bit,
24-bit, 48 and 96
