We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner. This bug was reported some time ago
and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.
Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) reached end-of-life on April 28, 2017.
Does anyone still see a problem relate
With 12.04.02 it is still not working.
Even if I have this:
$ cat ~/.config/gtk-2.0/gtkfilechooser.ini
[Filechooser Settings]
LocationMode=filename-entry
ShowHidden=true
ExpandFolders=true
ShowSizeColumn=true
GeometryX=0
GeometryY=0
GeometryWidth=1481
GeometryHeight=663
SortColumn=size
SortOrder
I think this is not a problem of Chrome, it happens to me on any open
dialog from any program (firefox, Scite for naming two).
It's very frustrating, specially when you always work with recent files
a lot, and have to choose them all the time like I do in my work.
So I think this is a bug from Ub
Affects me too. I'm using Chrome 25.0.1364.45 on Ubuntu 12.04.

of its columns (though, I can see that the columns' widths depend on
content).
