I ran into the problem mentioned (on install) and I also ran into the
same problem when trying to remove maas packages:
ubuntu@maas:~$ sudo apt-get autoremove maas maas-dhcp maas-dns
[sudo] password for ubuntu:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state informatio
Need to recreate the postgresql user manually with the info in
/etc/maas/maas_local_settings.py before re-install.
