This looks like a texturing bug that was sorted out some time back.
Feel free to reopen if it can still be reproduced on Karmic.

downgrading is the solution, someone should make a proper fix. I am

This bug is not with the xserver-xorg-video-intel driver. There is a
problem in the mesa drivers that is causing this bug to occur. I have
downgraded my mesa drivers back down to 6.5.1 from 6.5.2. According to

I can confirm that this bug exists for Ubuntu 7.04.
This bug is also viable using the "xserver-xorg-video-i810" drivers. I
have tried installing several video driver for the Intel GPU 945GM
myself. So far with no success. I have used the following drivers,
