This appears to still be an issue. I've attempted to install 14.04.3
using a Logitech K800. I can begin the install process, though I'm stuck
at the first step of the installation: [!!] Select a language.

I have the exact same issue with Logitech keyboard K520 and Ubuntu
Server iso 15.10
It looks like an issue with alternate iso as it is working with
Linuxmint installer (which - I think - is based on Ubuntu desktop 15.10)
(I tried that because the desktop installer is not handling my fakeRAID
corr
Marking "Won't Fix" since no more ISOs will be created with the Quantal
kernel.

I see an identical symptom for Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 *Server* during
the very first step of installation. Logitech Unifying Receiver
keyboards do not work while a regular USB keyboard works fine.
