I suggest that you get the daily Feisty ISO from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current as soon as the manifest
includes linux-image-2.6.20-14 or higher. Boot from the CD and make sure
everything works before you upgrade. Reopen this report if problems
persist.

I have since reformatted and gone back to edgy due to the
tuesday/wednesday updates completely breaking my 32 bit compatibility
with Cedega.
This bug seems to be related to a known issue under edgy where ehci_hd
locks up, and if you either blacklist that mod or fix the irq assignment
issues it see

Another detail noticed yesterday. Hotplug works upon initial bootup
until the kernel delivers the message that "disabling IRQ 7". This
message was present under feisty with 2.6.17-10 and -11 but hotplug
still worked.

also, the devices are recognized if plugged in at boot, so only hotplug
isn't recognizing them.
