You have a solution that works for you. The current policy with regard
to p4-clockmod is not going to change.

Hope I've got this right :)
The output from lsmod lists p4-clockmod, that's because I've temporarily
added it to /etc/modules. I'm more than happy to reboot without that
hack so you can see what's loaded normall?
