Does not seem to be related to 965921, I checked the switch-group
keybinding in dconf-editor (as shown in
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1933323) and it is set to the
default 'Above_Tab'. Setting it to ^ does not help either,
setting it to 'a' or 'Tab' works though. So it might be an
issu

Good catch. Of course it's Alt, not Ctrl in the description above.
Fixed.
It's Alt-^ (the key above the tabulator) in German Keyboard Layout. That
used to work in oneiric, but not in precise. I'll try Alt-` and/or
switching to an English keyboard layout later.
So the hotkey still works for you on
