I underatand the reason for not including python-paramiko in Depends:,
but as it stands now it is a clear regression. Your cron job just stops
working after upgrade, with no clear indiction what to do. If I am not
mistaken, there is some way in apt to notify the user when a package
upgrade requires
Duplicity has a lot of backends that are all Suggests. Raising them
higher would mean pulling in a lot of optional backends on to the CD,
which we don't do for space reasons alone.
That warning is safely ignorable. Just an oddity with the glib python
bindings.

I concur on the fix (which I believe should then not be Suggests: but
Depends: in the pkgdef).
By the way, and just for posterity -- I still am left with a warning which used
to not be there:
** WARNING **: Trying to register gtype 'GSocketMsgFlags' as flags when in fact
it is
Install python-paramiko and it should work. 0.6.18 switched scp
backends.
** Changed in: duplicity (Ubuntu)
