It would appear that it is now certainly fixed. I was able to export
this successfully on the i386 as well. As such, I think it seems
reasonable and logical to note that the fix was released somewhere
between the time of reporting and the present time. Not sure what
update that was that fixed it

I was able to use OpenOffice.org 2.1 from the web site, on a Windows PC,
to export the document to Microsoft Word without error. I do not know
if that information will be helpful or not, though—including it anyway,
just in case it is.

This is the core dump, compressed with bzip2. It is 327 MB
uncompressed, but only 12 MB compressed, and my upstream bandwidth would
make it very hard to upload the uncompressed version. Sorry if that
causes any inconvenience in accessing the core dump.

I tried installing the debug symbols so that I could attempt to get a
better backtrace, and then start up OpenOffice.org like you show. It
took me a few attempts, but I was finally successful in getting a
backtrace with partial debug symbols. Perhaps this will provide some

Ubuntu 7.04 Beta ( /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin with the
parameters -norestore -writer ) and produced a backtrace.
