Unity 5.6: key bindings (such as Super) don't work on empty workspace

I'm on the same version of Unity and I don't have this issue. Weird. Can
you check if running unity --reset helps?
Oh, and I remember having an issue earlier regarding the dash. When you
press super, does it open for a few milliseconds before closing again?
In other words, do you get a small flash
