First. The CDROM is IDE, not SCSI as I orginally thought second. The kernel does not seem to be able to access the cdrom. at the (initramfs) prompt, ls /dev/hd* reports no files found. ls /dev shows several scsi devices, tty devices, etc. but no IDE devices. -- Feisty beta cannot find init imag
