With Precise Pangolin updates as if March 14, the reported bug appears
to have been fixed.
*) Dock/launcher is displayed properly on login
*) Reveal sensitivity toolbar now appears properly

This bug can now be closed.
The reveal sensitivity slider is now properly displayed.
After running unity --reset once, subsequent logins/reboots display the
dock/launcher properly
I will watch / add comment on the (if) existing bug about reveal
sensitivity / virtualbox configuration.

khaeru, this is not a mouse reveal bug. mouse reveal works for me when
the left edge of the VM screen coincides with the left edge of the host
display area. But when the left edge of the VM screen is in the middle
(i.e, the host has two monitors and the VM is on full screen on the

Broken mouse reveal also reported in bug #953638 and its duplicates.

I apologize. I did not realize the screenshot application is also not
working. Please find attached a new screen shot
I used the "take screenshot" and attempted all three options
*) screen selection
*) current window
*) entire desktop
All three actions only grabbed the wall paper and not the wind
The screen shot is for the missing slider for reveal sensitivity
setting.
The screenshot for missing dock will be an empty desktop. Dont think
that needs a screenshot. :)
