Same. I can reproduce with emacs22 22.1-0ubuntu4, but not with
emacs-snapshot 20070930-1ubuntu1.

Phil, I didn't try it with emacs -q. But your guess was right. I have
ido-mode, iswitchb-mode, and ffap-bindings all enabled.
(I really should rsync my .emacs file onto my website, or at least I
should attach it here. Unfortunately my laptop has no Internet
connectivity ATM.)

Jason, do you remember if you were able to reproduce this under emacs
-Q? I cannot reproduce it (the annoying popup) under emacs -Q, but I
*am* getting it if my .emacs contains either (partial-completion-mode)
or (require 'ido).
This is on Gutsy, x86, emacs-snapshot 20070529.

Sorry, but "works for you" neither means that this issue has been fixed nor
that it is invalid.
Obviously, we can mark it "fix released" / "fix committed" if it is.
Why do you think this is invalid (if you cannot reproduce it, shouldn't
you mark / leave it "incomplete")?
