sorry 3.2.0-18 was a typo. I also tested with that one (basically same
results) but the results described above are for
3.3.0-030300rc6-generic.

testing upstream kernel
using: linux-image-3.2.0-18-generic
from here: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.3-rc6-precise/
boots into gui. Have my desktop etc.
from terminal window: sudo pm-suspend
screen freezes with last image,
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.3 kernel[1] (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once you've
tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing'
tag(Only that on
