This is fixed in upstream beagle, as there is a new and more efficient
tb backend.

There is work to restore the Thunderbird backend to a stable state, it
will probably happen this summer thanks to the SoC

I've just read the debian/changelog file in beagle_0.2.16.3-0ubuntu2 sources:
it says that thunderbird backend is disabled, as considered buggy, since
version 0.2.15.1-1ubuntu1.
Excuse me again for having signaled an inexistent bug...
