I cant because with the yesterday unity and compiz updates i lost unity
3d .Unity fail to liad and fallback to 2d , i allrdt downgrade all th
updated packages with luck.

Omer Akram , it was always like that for me so there is no specific
steps.
Something that may help is :
Try to initiate the grid effect slowly , don't push further , back up
some pixels ( 2 3 ) and release the mouse button.
