In follow up to my previous comment, I notice that the unity package version is
the same for my desktop and laptop ( 4.28.0-0ubuntu2).
Also, in a guest account on my desktop computer the dash search includes files
and folders.
So the problem looks more like a configuration or interaction confli
The problem may not be with package unity-lens-files itself. I say this
because I checked on my laptop which I do not use very often and hence
do not keep up to date. It is also 11.04 and I see it has the same
unity-lens-files package version as on my desktop (0.6.12-0ubuntu1).
But on the laptop,
The Find Files search was working previously on my system. It must have
stopped fairly recently, perhaps after an update.
