After last system upgrade (Feisty partial upgrade initiated by update-mangaer)
my second internal HDD shows up on desktop at each boot. Is this the new normal
behaviour for all secondary internal HDDs ?
This HDD has ext3 filesystem whereas the other HDD (on which the system is
installed) has rei
to add, this is ok now... after full upgrading my partitions are now on
"Desktop"

thanx for the tip, btw it worked for me too... the icons are shown on
Desktop after "restart", hope

I have the same problem sometimes
However, restarting dbus fix the problem for me, so yes, it probably is a bug:
sudo /etc/init.d/dbus restart
