I've the same kernel. For me hibernation now works again, after having
failed since 2.6.20 or something.
Have you tried "sudo /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh"?

I've got one sata drive in desktop computer but in my laptop there is

I think the "normal boot" has happened this time because of a new kernel. On
resume it says then kernel version mismatch, not resuming - AFAIK.
For me hibernation got fixed today with the 2.6.20-12.19 update. (Thank you!)
Try "sudo /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh" on a real console (ctrl-alt-f1).

Apparently previous upgrade from Dapper to Edgy messed sth up with fstab
putting there long strings (included in attachment) - after changing it
to /dev/sda2 for swap partition hibernation process started to work
quickly, but still it does not resume and next time boots normally.

disk is not working. On my laptop HP nx6110 (dmesg, lspci, uname
included above) it takes ages to "hibernate" as I described above and
when I turn on computer it boots normally with fresh new X session.
The same happens when

Actually it is working but is far from what should be expected. After
initiating hibernation (suspend to disk) screen turns blank and it spits
out some info (included in dmesg.log) than X session turns back in.
After 10-15 seconds computer gets sluggish and after about 20 seconds it
