I can confirm this is still the case in my configuration -- Ubuntu
Trusty Tahr (14.04), 64 bit desktop version, and banshee 2.6.2.
It is somewhat ironic that enabling the "gapless playback" option
actually CAUSES a gap in playback.
I do not experience playback fully stopping, and in my case it is

between mp3 and mp3.

The workaround of disabling the gapless playback option doesn't work for
me, I still get these random stops on song change (Ubuntu 12.04,
Banshee 2.4.0 - also tried 2.4.1, which is in proposed at the moment,

Agree Floris, the bug should be fixed not worked around. Just wanted to
save some folks the pain of trying to get it "working" and hopefully it

I seem to be also affected by the bug. I have "gapless" enabled and it
seems to happen randomly on tracks that play fine otherwise.
Thank you Brendan_P for pointing out that disabling the "gapless" seems
to fix it, but it can hardly be called a "solution" as the bug itself is
