Why has this not been fixed yet? It was reported in Dapper, and a fix
was supposedly released. The permissions for /dev/fuse are wrong on a
machine that has a fresh install of Ubuntu Feisty and even this machine

I can confirm this also happened to me when I installed fuse on my
laptop which had a fresh Feisty 7.04 install on. User and group of
/dev/fuse was root.

This bug is present in final release of Feisty 7.04. The problem is
that installing fuse does not give group ownership of /dev/fuse to the
fuse group.
