Hi,
I noticed that I was using laptop-mode instead of using Gnome power
manager. So I followed Kevin suggestion, and now beagle seams to be
working much better when my laptop is on battery power.
Anyway, when I'm on battery power if I enter the command "beagle-info
--is-indexing", I always get "T
the thing that Rodrigo is seeing maybe is the beagle indexer launched
from cron.daily.
In fact the script /etc/cron.daily/beagle-crawl-systemdoes not check
if we're on battery and if the variable $CRAWL_DISABLE_ON_BATTERY is
"yes"

files (from ~/.beagle/Log/).

I don't know if it helps but if you launch (from battery)
beagle-info --is-indexing
the result is always true, but you should also try to use beagle-info --status.
In my case the status is "STOPPED"
In my case I don't see any hdd activity. I'm also running 7.04

This is because beagle isn't perfect in its battery detection system, it
should use Gnome Power Manager if possible.
