It's not a major issue for me. Thanks for the workaround. I mostly reported it to make sure it got fixed for the release. It appeared to me that the upgrade of to the new package succeeded, the only fallout was that empty directories were left behind. My apt thinks everything is up to date packa

Your are the lucky winner! You have found my prerm bug that is nasty. I am working on fixing this now. But in the mean time if you want to remove kubuntu-docs package you need to edit /var/lib/dpkg/info/kubuntu- docs.prerm and make the if section look like the following: if which install-docs
