FYI, I discussed with Corsac, and for the moment he doesn't consider
lightdm 1.1.x (and greeters split into their own source packages) for
wheezy. So lightdm-gtk-greeter may not be uploaded in Debian.

I believe this is currently blocked by bug 916477. You might want to
chat with Corsac from pkg-xfce (#debian-xfce on freenode) in Debian to
see if he needs any help as I think he's working on this as well.
