Ah, I get it now, when shade is FALSE it paints the whole thing with whatever alpha is specified. (Duh!) Somehow I got the wrong idea into my head. I guess we should turn shade off then, saves it trying to calculate a gradient from 1 to 1. /apps/gwd/metacity_theme_active_opacity = 1 /apps/gwd/met
