I have just tried to install 12.04 beta 2 (both 64 bit and 32 bit) on a
new Llano system and get this problem. BIOS is shown - there is a lot of
activity and the screen goes blank. I solved this problem by installing
an Nvidia card. The sound did not work so I have reverted to 11.10
