but I do not see the need for it when one has a recent X then.
In other words, when one updates to xorg-7.2 how come particularities
of say XFree86-from-some-time-ago have to remain ? Did I miss what
xorg-7.2 has to b
This is correct. /usr/bin/X11 is symlinked to . (i.e. /usr/bin). This is
here for compatibility with older versions of X, and is intentional.
