Łukasz Szeremeta, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't
been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live
I know that it can run on x64 - as other 32 bits applications, but it
is not native for x64.

That't the reason why. I'm using _64 but today I managed to install
xatitv on my netbook. It doesn't work either but the reason can be xfce
environment.

Gatos package is in the official Ubuntu software source, but only for
i386 architecture and I do not know how it will work.
You can install 'gatos' click:
Show technical item
on the Ubuntu Software Centre when you will serach "gatos" or "xatitv".

Since Ubuntu 11.04 release we may find in a Software Center something
that perhaps could help. It is xatitv. However any installation is
impossible. The only message we I can find is that a Gatos package is
not in my software sources. I'd love to add it and tried to Google it
out but didn't succede
I have the same model and didn't succeeded to make it work as well:/
