I installed it via the PPA on 12.04 and it workds nicely . Hope it comes
in the main distribution.

I've installed & selected Cinnamon as my desktop. I installed Cinnamon from the
PPA and logged on Lubuntu 12.04. But then I tried to login with LXDE desktop &
the desktop icons changed in appearance... Someone should prioritize finding
bugs on U
The correct PPA is now : https://launchpad.net/~gwendal-lebihan-
dev/+archive/cinnamon-stable (the other one isn't maintained anymore)
