Check state of our network card using "acpitool -w". If it's disabled,
enable it manually using "acpitool -W X", where X is the number of your
card. It worked for me.

I too have this bug.
I have removed the newtork manager and set up dhcp with interfaces.
Seems like the shutdown command is too aggressive (my 2 cents)
temp fix, i've disabled Shutdown by
chmod 0

Yes, it is installed by default. Could you please try WOL after
